Kellie Watts is a graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She attended Georgia Tech on full academic and merit scholarship earning her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. She worked as a consulting Engineer for 11 years in Atlanta, Ga and earned her Professional Engineering license in the state of Georgia. She recently left the field of Engineering to pursue her passion for education. This is her first year at Peachtree Academy where she is teaching 8th Grade Pre-Algebra, Physical Science, and pioneering an Intro to Drafting and Design for High School students.
Kellie is very active at Grace Baptist Church in Monroe where she serves as a Sunday School teacher, bus ministry leader, as well as many other roles. She has been married for 18 years to her husband and best friend Robert and has 3 children. She is a volunteer softball coach for Newton Christian Youth Softball League and served as a robotics mentor in the Newton County School System. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and travelling with her family.
She strives to honor God in all that she does and her life verse is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
