My name is Julie Treadwell and this is my third year teaching Art at Peachtree Academy! I did very well my first year at Peachtree Academy and received Teacher of the Year at our Conyers location for elementary.
My background consist of many academic years of private lessons under Bonnie Sears. I have received my knowledge by implementing art camps, and art lessons in Montessori programs, plus having a family full of artists. I feel everyone is a artist and given the right techniques and tools they to can find it, grow it and watch it bloom.
I grew up in Snellville, Georgia where I attend Snellville Middle School. I was member of the basketball.but never played. I had that much heart and Coach Mullins made me a manager. I couldn’t even dribble but I never gave up or stopped during tryouts. I loved it!
I graduated from Rabun Gap Nachoochee Preparatory School in 1985 and was a proud member of the Pep Club, Drama Club, and served as a proctor over Bellingrath Dorm my junior year.
I live in Walton County with my husband Sam, a police captain by day but makes traditional furniture on weekends with our business Treadwell Woodworking. We have 4 grown sons, 8 grandkids, and 4 furbabies. We hope to retire and travel the USA in our 5th Wheel Rosie Sierra but for now hitting all the Georgia State Parks. Likes: Monkeys, Elephants, homemade anything, talking, laughing, and coffee.
