Peachtree Academy's Summer Camp is a well rounded, curriculum based; exploratory camp with focus speacialty camps available. This year, Peachtree Academy campers will enjoy a summer full of fun and discovery while also partcipating in community service activities.
Our campers will also enjoy exploratory field trips to places like: The High Museum of Art, The Dominy School of Performing Arts, Atlanta History Center, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, The Center for Puppetry Arts, Six Flags, Malibu Grand Prix, Atlanta Braves games, Fernbank Museum, I-Max and more. Children ages 4-13 enjoy a wild and exciting time at Peachtree Academy Summer Camp. Each week features a unique theme, complete with crafts, educational games & activities, and much more.
During the summer, campers may participate in fun outdoor activites like parachute, dodge ball, tennis, kick ball, gardening, field days with a variety of sports and so much more. Many field trips will be to places that coincide with the mission or area of study and others will be for student enjoyment. The variety of field trips ranges from skating, putt-putt or tennis, to Stone Mountain Park and American Adventures. Our NEW Water Park will be the hit of the summer for the kids and each week we will use the park for outdoor time. The fun abounds at Camp Peachtree. When you tour our school and learn more about Camp Peachtree, a schedule will be available for registration information.
AGE GROUPS
Children are grouped together based on their age. All activities are age-appropriate and we ask that you not request for a child to be moved into a different age group. Children will only be placed together if they are in the same age group listed below and based on availability.
The age groups are:
- Completed Pre-Kindergarten 2009-2010 school year
- Completed Kindergarten 2009-2010 school year
- Completed First Grade 2009- 2010 school year
- Completed Second - Fifth Grade 2009-2010 school year
All camp participants must wear tennis shoes or sandals with a back and traction. This will ensure your child's safety, whether they are playing on outdoor equipment or hiking, they will be comfortable and safe!
In addition, they will need the following:
- Completed camp application
- Current shot record
- Copy of a birth certificate
- Bathing suit, towel, and water shoes
- Change of clothes to be kept at school (something old) in a labeled zip loc bag
- Book to read for pleasure
- Board game or puzzle on Fridays. Please label with your child's name.
- Permission slips for field trips must be signed each week
Holiday Camp refers to any date during the school year when public school and/or our private school is not in session, usually a Holiday, but when camp is offered by Peachtree Academy for the benefit of working parents. Most of the requirements listed above are also necessary in order for students to participate in our Holiday Camp days as well. Please contact the front desk if you have further questions.
