At Peachtree Academy we realize and understand that the safety and security of our students is vitally important and we do everything we can to guarantee their safety, both inside and outside the classroom each day. Our staff is educated and trained to handle emergency situations, including CPR, First Aid, Fire Safety, Tornado and general emergency practices.
We take every precautions at our campuses to ensure the safety and security of our students. Exterior doors are secured with a keypad entry for additional campus safety, but also our teachers, parent volunteers and Administrators are constantly monitoring the campus entries, hallways and properties.
Parents provide names and contact information for family members, or friends who have permission to pick up their child from school in car line, or in case of an emergency. Upon arrival guests must provide proper identification and state the purpose of their visit before they are allowed to enter the building, or pick up one of our students. No one is allowed to pick up any child from our campus if their name is not listed in our family records.
Students are never allowed access to the computer without teacher monitoring. but because our students are frequently in the computer lab, or on the computer in the classroom, every computer at our school has been programmed with a high level of content filtering.
Administrators conduct the required fire and tornado drills throughout the year, in order to give our teachers and students the opportunity to practice good safety habits.
